I really love this ring. Its designed is unique, the marquesite sparkles and adds to the black stone. I'm happy with the decision I made to purchase the black stone version.

Even though reviews said best for long fingers took a chance as I have always wanted a bypass ring. It was a good decision. I don't have long fingers, but this is a nice size without being overwhelming. Very comfortable to wear and looks great on my ring finger, but in a larger size would look good on the pointer or index. Definitely worth taking a chance on. Cons: Be careful with onyx as it is not a very hard stone.

This ring is great for a thumb ring. The design is substantial enough but not overwhelming. I agree with the other commenter that said probably looks best on someone with long fingers, which I do have, if you want it for a thumb ring. So, it doesn't overwhelm my thumb. It is really a very nice and striking ring, and well designed with a good weight to it. I like that it has a little depth and is not flat like some other rings can be. I bought it to wear with another onyx ring that I wear on my ring finger. The only negative I would say, and it's really not a negative, is that if the stones were faceted, this ring would look like a ring you would buy from a high end store. But, it is still a very striking and beautiful ring. Pros: A very striking and beautiful ring. Cons: If you want this for a thumb ring, best to have long fingers.

I am very pleased with the construction of this ring. It was, however, a bit overwhelming for my hand as I have short nails. The ring overwhelms the look of my fingers and because of that, I will be passing this ring on to someone with more appropriate hands.
