This is a lovely chain that refracts the light; unlike the DLJ 20-in 1.5 MM ball-chain I bought with, which just reflects it back.
So this chain does not read as 'bright' as the latter, but rather: sparkles.
(Somewhat compared in photo from a bad camera in old cellphone with ridiculous shutter placement so that it is virtually impossible to get a clear shot one-handed/no apologies...at least one can see the weight/reflections differences.)
It is finer than expected, so I will keep it (t'was intended for someone who replaces small spring-ring clasps with magnetic connectors which would be at least 3 times the weight of this chain, alone).
I DID measure the thickness of the faceted ball-chain I have, before ordering
but when you're eyeballing whether something is 1 or 1-point-some-ought millimetres...ya gots to allow for more margin of error...
(Lesson learned.)
Pros: Lovely, light-catching, barely-there look.
Recommended to anyone looking for the fine weight. Cons: Not sure, yet.
I tend to idly handle the charms on my necklaces like worry beads, so we'll see how sturdy the 1MM turns out to be...
